Quality Improvement Secretariatorganized a workshop on universal health coverage and quality of care for theDhaka and Sylhet divisions. The objective of the workshop was to share the QIplanning and modality to be implemented for health care service delivery withthe divisional and district managers of those divisions. The workshop waschaired by Md Ashadul Islam, DG HEU. Md Ashadul Islam, DG HEU gave anoverview on recent planning and initiatives to achieve Universal HealthCoverage by the MOHFW. Participantsdiscussed on different issues related to QI implementation such as leadership,commitment, availability of workforce, appropriate distribution of resourcesand other key areas. Dr. Md Aminul Hasan, DD-HEU and Focal person of QISpresented on recent initiatives taken by Quality Improvement Secretariatincluding National strategic planning, National and sub-national QI committees,joint Go-NGO collaboration plan for QI etc. Participants provided theirfeedback on the involvement of the DPs in providing QI supports in districtsand upazilas. It was decided in the meeting that quality will be a routineagenda for District Coordination Meetings.
